20" (51 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and throat, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with delicately shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with plump limbs, straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Emile Jumeau, their earliest period bebe, circa 1877. Value Points: gorgeous bebe with superb delicately-tinted bisque and soft rose blushing including eyelids, original early body.
