Description
11" (28 cm.) Of paper mache with weighted ball-shaped base, the figure depicts a jolly-faced Santa Claus with sculpted detail of facial features, blue twinkling eyes, thick white brows, moustache, flowing beard and long wig, traditional Santa costume, and with sculpted toys in his arms and sack at back torso. The figure is designed to merrily tilt from side to side, but never tip over when pushed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, the "rolly-dolly" was introduced by the firm in 1908, and made in a variety of designs. Value Points: rare model in very fine original state of preservation.
