9" (23 cm.) Carved wooden character of man with swivel head, brown painted hair, moustache and goatee, brown eyes, jointing at shoulders and hips, and additional jointing at elbows and knees, painted brown boots, detachable yellow wooden helmet and wearing muslin tan uniform with leather ammunition belt and pouch, carrying rifle with leather strap. Along with carved wooden horse with jointed neck, glass eyes, open mouth, white muzzle, cloth mane, leather ears, thread tail, leather harness and saddle, and metal stirrups. Excellent condition. American, the hunter and horse appeared in the 1909 Teddy's Adventures in Africa series.
