8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head with chubby dimpled face, large blue glass googly eyes in upper-glancing gaze, painted upper curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed smiling mouth, two beaded teeth, brunette mohair wig, five-piece paper-mache body, painted shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 23 SFBJ 245 Paris 0. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1916. Value points: rare little fellow with wonderful wide-eyed googly expression, sculpted dimpled face, original marine costume including cap with gilt lettering "Paris".
