31" (79 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece carved head and torso, oval face, elongated throat, defined front torso, inset heavily lidded brown enamel eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, aquiline nose, hemp wig, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles, linen-covered lower legs and large feet, wearing early textured woven gown. Condition: very good, typical wear to finish with some light retouch. Comments: Continental, early 1800s. Value Points: grand size of the artfully carved early wooden doll.
