Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted blue eyes with pronounced black pupils, red and black upper eyeliner, tiny fringed lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with row of beaded teeth, tongue tip, outlined lips, auburn mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 180 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: finest quality of bisque with artistic details of decoration including glaze at lower lip and pupils, original body and body finish, antique costume and shoes, original body in near mint condition.
