Description
8" (20 cm.) height includes crown and base. Carved wooden head with dowel neck attachment, gofun finish, painted facial features including eyes and "sky-brows", black silk fiber hair, and carved wooden hands held in front of torso. She is wearing a multi-layered kimono with embroidered crane designs, tassels, red silk pants, and elaborate gilded metal crown with "jewel" trim. Excellent condition. Late-Meiji, early 1900s.
