13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta man leaning forward inquisitively, bald pate, enamel eyes, thick brown moustache and brows, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown boots, wearing original costume including purple silk turban with silver thread, and carrying stoneware pipe and early tinplate lantern. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare model to find with unusual stature.
