22" (56 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with oval face, strong throat, very pale complexion, blonde hair waved horizontally around the forehead with wide hair roll accented by a matching color headband and a wiggly hair curl, very elaborately arranged curls at the back of head, combed behind the ears, deeply set eye sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils of aquiline nose, closed mouth, painted blue necklace with gilt ormolu medallion, kid stitch-jointed body, kid arms, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, attributed to Conta and Bohne, the model was made in variations including hair color, hair decorations, and with or without necklace.
