Description
14" (36 cm.) All-hard plastic, socket head, blue sleep eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig in soft curls, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: near mint. Comments: Madame Alexander, "Fairy Queen", issued in 1948, an early presentation of the firm's dolls in the post-war hard plastic medium. Value Points: pristine condition, wearing double-layered pink net gown with attached taffeta petticoat, matching panties, socks, pink side-snap shoes with little bows; the gown has net panniers and is decorated with wide gilt braiding and streamers which match the edging on the stiffened net wings attached to the back of the gown, matched wide gilt coronet, with gilt metal magic wand.
