28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, very full elongated cheeks, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, thick brushstroked and feathered brows, blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette human hair hand-tied wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nice antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, old retouch to body finish. Marks: S 16 H 939. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful model with very fine lustrous complexion, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes.
