8 1/2" (22 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta with shaded brown finish, sculpted brushstroked hair on hump, mane, and upper legs, painted eyes, brown leather applied harness and lead, green tassels. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, rare animal model with especially fine painting of face.
