Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) An all-bisque Kewpie with classic topknot, forelock, blue wings and side-glancing googly eyes is posed seated in bow-legged manner, his arms outraised as though in fear of the ladybug which is crawling on his forehead. Attached to Kewpie's side is a bisque wicker basket in shaded green colors for original use as candy container. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c (in circle). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model with amusing scene.
