18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of slender-faced lady with elongated throat, pale complexion, sculpted pale blonde hair with deep comb marks brushed away from face, with wide looped curls at the back, a shaded rose at the crown with green leaves, and a wide black bow at the back, fully sculpted pierced ears, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, sculpted bodice with wide scalloped-edge collar, and sculpted rows of tucks, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, attributed to Conta and Bohne. Value Points: rare model with beautifully sculpted hair with flower and large bow, and very distinctive sculpting of bodice.
