14" (36 cm.) Brown muslin cloth doll with firm shaping, stitch-shaped nose, embroidered facial features, black fleecy yarn hair, stitch-jointing at shoulders and hips, antique cotton dress, undergarments, shoes, brooch, and posed seated in wooden rocking chair. Condition: generally excellent, hands missing. Comments: American, circa 1875. Value Points: wonderful detail of facial stitching including minutely-stitched double row of teeth on smiling expression.
