11" (28 cm.) A rose silk tiered parasol is topped by a bisque head with blue sleep eyes,open mouth,tiny teeth,brunette mohair wig,while the handgrip is formed by the doll's legs. When the parasol is opened,the silk cover appears to be the skirt of the doll. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R. Comments: circa 1910,an earlier version of the imaginative and amusing parasol was deposed in France in 1874,as "Ombrelle Folie". Value Points: rare and all-original novelty doll,preserved in original box.
