Description
4" (10 cm.) One-piece bisque figure of Kewpie posed kneeling, his arms outstretched and with spread fingers, and head inclined downward and to the side, and with a large bisque basket attached at his back, Kewpie with topknot, blue wings and side-glancing eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c (black circle stamp). Comments: Germany, circa 1912, from original designs by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: rare Kewpie novelty with most captivating pose.
