Description
11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque rounded plump head, sculpted topknot, forelock, blue wings, and large brown glass inset googly eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted thick upper lashes, tiny pug nose, closed mouth with impish smile, impressed dimples, composition toddler body with plump torso, side-hip jointed legs, starfish-shaped hands, and wearing a charming flower-girl costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish albeit scuffed. Marks: Ges Gesch O'Neill JDK 10 (head) O'Neill (stamp on foot). Comments: Kestner, circa 1914, under license with Rose O'Neill and from her original designs. Value Points: rare glass-eyed Kewpie with original signed body.
