Bisque socket head with angular shape,strong chin,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes,black thick brush-stroked brows,aquiline nose,closed mouth,sculpted full moustache with curled tips,dimpled chin,brunette mohair wig,early German kid body with gusset-jointing and bisque hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S.L. Depose. Comments: Louis Schneider,the small boutique firm created remarkable models during the late 1870s and early 1880s; this particular was deposed as indicated by its markings. Value Points: very rare gentleman model with maker's mark,wonderfully-sculpted moustache,well-detailed original costume. Ex-Collection,Dina Vierney.
