16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented and shaded nostrils, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with pull-string "mama" crier. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 6 (red stamp, and incised 6 on head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1896 when the counterweight sleeping eye mechanism was introduced. Value Points: especially pretty Bebe Jumeau with rare sleeping eyes, original wig, pate, body, body finish, Jumeau earrings, socks and shoes signed "6", and wearing original pretty antique dress.
