8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, brown glass eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, two square-cut upper teeth and one lower, brunette mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, cupped fingers, shapely legs with tiny ankles, painted bright blue stockings to knees, black six lace heeled ankle boots, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1 1/4. Comments: German, circa 1880, the doll is referred to as "French Wrestler" in reference to its very muscular body. Value Points: rare body style and rare color of boots.
