Description
9" (23 cm.) All-wooden carved rhinoceros with well-defined musculature, original shaded brown finish with painted spots jointed neck, glass inset eyes, open mouth, painted teeth, carved horn, leather ears, rope tail, jointed legs. Near mint condition. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1910, the glass-eyed version has especially fine carving of body details and facial lines and outstanding preservation of artistically shaded finish.
