20" (51 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, unusual heart-shaped face, brown painted upper glancing eyes, long curly upper lashes, grey eyeshadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with full lips, blonde mohair bobbed wig, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, one small hole in dress. Comments: Italian, Lenci, their model 350 from 1926, with very distinctive facial shape, large entrancing eyes. Value Points: the rare doll is wearing original organdy dress with scalloped pink felt edging, waist sash of felt flowers, original undergarments, pink felt shoes, and an extraordinary cloche hat composed of multi-tiers of scalloped edge petals. This actual doll is shown in a full page photograph in the book, Lenci, The History and the Dolls, by Nancy Lazenby, page 148, in which it is noted "no other doll like this has surfaced".
