21" (53 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with well-defined facial features, deeply set eye sockets with defined eyelids and eye folds, black painted eyes, painted brows, broad nose, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined teeth, padded wooden block torso, loosely jointed wooden arms and legs, cloth hands, antique calico costume and turban. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, circa 1880. Value Points: highly characterized doll with original artistic painting.
