10" (25 cm.) h. and l. Arranged upon a paper-decorated wooden platform with wheeled base is a standing bisque doll who is holding the rope attached to the wooden swing upon which is seated another bisque doll. Each doll has blue glass inset eyes, painted features, closed mouth, mohair wig, wooden block torso, wooden arms and legs and is wearing factory original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6/0 (doll). Comments: for the French market, circa 1890, when pulled along, the standing boy turns his head side to side and pulls the rope, while the child on swing clasps the side and swings back and forth. Value Points: amusing toy with charming action and presence.
