9" (23 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with very plump cheeks, sculpted brown hair with forelock and side curls, modeled topknot, painted large blue round side-glancing googly eyes, short curly upper lashes, one-stroke brows, button-shaped nose with accented nostrils, pyramid-shaped closed mouth, paper mache toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips, painted shoes and socks, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D Made in Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1920. Value Points: delightful wide-eyed anxious expression on the rare model, original body and body finish, antique costume.
