Description
16" (41 cm.) Carved wooden shoulderhead, oval slender face, elongated throat, carved and painted black hair in centerpart, waved over the ears and arranged in flat round chignon at back of head, painted blue eyes, single-stroke brows, black upper eyeliner, closed mouth with prim lips, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: fine original painted finish on the early wooden doll.
