All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional face, gathered seam line around the top and sides of head, oil-painted complexion, painted short brown curly hair, and facial features including large blue shaded eyes, brush-stroked brows, outlined nose, bow-shaped mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: good, original finish with some rubs and fading. Marks: (The Columbian Doll, Manufactured by Marietta Adams Ruttan, ...New York). Comments: Columbian Doll, this model by the sister of the original designer Emma Adams, circa 1895. Value Points: sought-after model with rare signature, original finish, antique costume.
