19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lushly brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with outlined lips, row of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:8. Comments: Emile Jumeau for the Paris department store, Au Louvre, circa 1890. Value Points: beautiful wide-eyed bebe in virtually unplayed with condition, has original wig, pate, earrings, body, body finish, chemise dress with lace bodice, Jumeau socks, Jumeau leather shoes signed "Paris Depose 8" with bee symbol, and is preserved in her original box labeled "Louvre Bebe 8".
