Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) l. cradle. Each of wood with ivory painted finish and appliqued gilt, pink and green ornamentation, including bed with tall canopy top and bed fittings and with Reuge music box (working), cradle with crown canopy and with Reuge music box (not working), and grand piano with hinged lid for use as jewelry box. Condition: generally excellent, but as noted. Marks: Spielwaren (paper label) Reuge (paper label on bed and cradle). Comments: Rudolf Szalasi, Germany, the miniature furnishings presented as "Spielwaren", 1950s. Value Points: well-preserved rococo furnishings in luxury size.
