14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted brown hair at the sides of head, cut pate, painted facial features depicting an adult man, sharply-defined features, strong nose, tiny brown painted eyes, thick brushstroked brows, incised age lines, closed mouth with firmly-set lips, dimpled chin, composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips, painted black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Dressel, circa 1900, from their series of historical heroes of the Spanish-American war, this model representing William McKinley, US President during that war. Value Points: wonderfully preserved doll, among the rarest to find from that series, is perfectly preserved, wearing original military costume.
