11" (28 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with sculpted short black hair defined by stippled feathering around the face, pink-tinted complexion, painted large blue eyes with black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pert expression, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointed hips. Condition: generally excellent, sturdy body excepting wear to two fingers. Comments: French, circa 1860, attributed to Gaultier. Value Points; beautifully preserved doll with exceptionally sturdy body, beautiful antique costume.
