7" (18 cm.) x 5" frame. The oval painting depicts a woman with heart-shaped face seated with arms folded, wearing a gauzy gown and modestly holding a wrap at her left shoulder, with hair captured under a lace coiffe and ringlet curls spilling onto her forehead, pearl drop earrings, presented in gilt frame with fancy crest and fabric surround,. Excellent condition. Early 1800s.
