10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta, bald pate with sculpted curls at back and sides, head inclined to the side, small enamel eyes, incised age lines, mouth modeled as though open with sculpted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, sculpted wrinkled red stockings, black shoes with black buckles, wearing antique striped velvet pants and jacket with gold edging. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
