24" (61 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of lady doll with full-cheeked oval face, elongated throat, black sculpted hair loosely waved away from face with formed curls above each fully sculpted ear, and formed into an elaborate chignon at the back of her head which is enhanced by six short ringlet curls at the upper chignon, and six ringlet curls at the nape, painted blue eyes in deeply set eye sockets, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with full lips, muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on stockings and boots, porcelain hands, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: the very elaborate coiffure has wonderful details such as feathering at the crown and curls above sculpted ears.
