12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, bright blue glass inset eyes, painted facial features, open mouth, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, one-piece cone-shaped carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mon Tresor 1. Comments: bisque head by Henri Rostal, circa 1895, wearing original red cotton dress with silk ribbon trim which covers the hollow carton torso; a removable lid at the skirt base allows access to the candy container interior. Value Points: wonderful candy container doll, likely created on commission for luxury Parisian candy shop.
