13" (33 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head, sculpted brown hair with deeply defined combmarks arranged with long tendrils framing her face, then hair drawn back into a looped and braid-encircled chignon with cascading curls, enamel eyes in unusually-deep eyes sockets enhanced by brown eye shadow, mouth modeled as though lips slightly parted with two upper teeth, modeled bosom, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted green stockings, black shoes with red buckles, wearing burgundy velvet jacket, silk patterned skirt, coral-bead necklace. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, exceptionally fine modeling of eyes, hair, and bosom.
