28" (71 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, widely-arched feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with finely-shaded and outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, commercial muslin body with stitch-jointing at shoulders, hips and joints, sculpted porcelain hands, stitched-on leather boots with gilt buttons. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Pierre-Francois Jumeau, circa 1867, his portrait poupee exhibited at the 1867 and 1878 Paris International Expositions. Value Points: splendid poupee with finest delicate complexion, soft blushing on cheeks, eyelids, chin and ears, with rare original body, and wearing superb antique costume comprising ivory satin gown with extended train, three-piece set of matching lace-edged undergarments, blue satin parasol, mohair muff and collar, velvet bonnet.
