23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and chin, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, fringed upper lashes, short angled brows, rounded nose, closed mouth modeled as though open, shaded details of lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1428 15. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model especially in this size is enhanced by outstanding modeling of dimples and laughter creases, has finest quality bisque with gleaming patina, wonderful antique costume.
