Each volume encompasses six months of the English lady's journal with stories, household tips, patterns, illustrations of current fashions, and each with tipped-in color engravings of fashionable women in the latest styles of the day. Hardbound with marbled covers and red leather spines and corners with gold tooled lettering. Included are volumes 2, 3, 7-17, 19-22, covering dates from 1856-1872. Excellent condition, a few with loose spines, color plates appear intact. A valuable resource for the student of fashion or 19th century domestic arts.
