22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading and darker blue iris rims, dark eyeliner, mauve blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at lip corners and philtrum, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body. Condition: there is a faint hairline from right forehead rim to right brow, original early body is very worn. Marks 11/EJ. Comments: Emile Jumeau, premiere model of the signature bebe which bears his own name-initials, circa 1882. Value Points: beautiful silk and velvet couturier antique dress, Jumeau socks, Jumeau bronze-green silk shoes with gilt lettering "Bebe Jumeau Med d'Or Paris 1878".
