32" (81 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial modeling and full cheeks, blue glass sleep eyes, lashes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows with enhancing glaze, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, with outlined lips, four porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 17 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: especially beautiful modeling whose deeply defined facial features are enhanced by dimples at chin, philtrum, and lip corners, finest quality of bisque, original body and body finish.
