Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,very plump facial modeling,brilliant cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,mauve blushed eye shadow,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,pale blonde mohair wig in coronet braid over cork pate,kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Barrois,circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful early poupee with sturdy original body is wearing beautiful antique costume comprising blue velvet jacket with silk fringe and fancy buttons,matching blue velvet cap,gold silk skirt with silk ribbon appliques,undergarments,fancy leather boots with Huret-like soles,and carrying beautiful blue velvet purse with blue cord and beading.
