Description
29" (74 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes which open and close from wire lever at the back head, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body. Condition: bisque excellent, body is original albeit repainted. Marks: Sie C G (incised on head) J. Steiner Bte SGDG J. Bourqoin Succ (red ink marking on head). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: piquant smile on the shy smiling child, original body, lovely silk costume, original unique Steiner eyes incised J. Steiner on the reverse.
