Description
7" (18 cm.) Grey stuffed velvet elephant with long curled trunk, heart-shaped stitched shape of face, stitched ears, black shoe-button bead eyes, original velvet blanket with gilt fringe, posed on four cast iron spoked wheels. Very good condition, velvet is faded (original dark grey color visible under blanket) and some light spotting. Attributed to Steiff, Germany, circa 1900, delightful early toy with good structural integrity.
