Description
13" (33 cm.) Very slender bisque socket head with elongated throat, strong jawline, blue glass inset eyes, long painted lashes, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with "O" hole in the center designed to appear as though the doll is whistling, composition fully-jointed body with indentation at back torso for rubber ball placement (not included). Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Le Parisienne (red stamp). Comments: Jules Steiner, LeFosse epoch, circa 1895, the doll was originally presented with rubber ball and bellows mechanism allowing the doll to whistle. Value Points: rare model with highly distinctive features, original body and body finish.
