12" (30 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel spiral-threaded eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with hint of enigmatic smile, accented pale lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with square-cut neckline, gusset jointing, bisque lower arms and sculpted fingers, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B (head and shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1870, from his original depose of the distinctive facial model. Value Points: rare petite size with finest bisque, pristine body and rare bisque lower arms.
