Description
15" (38 cm.) All-cloth doll with flat-dimensional rounded face, gusset side seams giving fullness to the painted hair, silk-over-muslin face with painted complexion, hair and facial features, outlined blue eyes, arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, stitch jointing at shoulders, hips and knees. Condition: good, some fading of painted features, wear to silk on right cheek. Comments: American, circa 1890. Value Points: unusually constructed folk doll, with original costume comprising jacket with plaid collar, vest, shirt, tie, brown trousers, leather shoes.
