Each has carved wooden head with painted and tinted facial features, carved and painted hair (she with chignon at the back edged with scalloped floral border), firmly-stuffed cloth body, wooden hands. Condition: generally excellent, he without cap. Comments: Door of Hope Mission dolls representing Bride and Groom, circa 1920. Value Points: the pair wear original and perfectly-preserved wedding costumes, she with elaborate red silk costume with detailed embroidery, headdress with decorative beads and pom-pom tip, and he with rich purple/black silk robe with embroidered front and back panels.
