16" (41 cm.) All carved wooden doll, socket head, carved boyish hair with forelock curl detail and deeply incised detail of overall comb marks, intaglio brown painted eyes with white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, tinted brows, strong nose, all-wooden spring-jointed body, stocking groove in thigh, wearing cotton baseball uniform in the antique style. Condition: structurally excellent, finish is original with some typical light crazing. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. January 17, МУ11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, rare transition era doll of the Graziano model 202, 1912, made for one year only. Value Points: sought-after rarely-found model is a fine sculptural depiction of a pensive faced older child.
